Leisure Village is a self-managed 55+ active adult gated community located on Long Island, New York in the hamlet of Ridge in Suffolk County, situated in a picturesque, rural, tree lined community with14 miles of roads and 33 miles of sidewalk. There are various restaurants and retail stores nearby, including including large shopping malls. Our beaches on the Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean are both easily accessible and approx. 10 minutes away, as well as nature preserves, parks and hiking trails. ? Leisure Village has indoor and outdoor amenities for the enjoyment of our residents. These include a variety of activities, our large swimming pool has an upper deck that includes barbecues, tables and chairs and also a lower deck with plenty of shaded patio tables, chairs and lounge chairs. We have a bocce ball court, shuffleboard court, and a nine hole-golf course. There are also two ponds for catch and release fishing. Located in the Clubhouse is a large auditorium where many social events are held throughout the year. There is a ceramics room, billiards/card room, lounge, sewing /craft room, library, wood shop, and a fitness center. ? The Recreation office manages all the social activities and events.
